PRODUCT OVERVIEW
TOMAR’s RRFB Notification/Pilot LED Light heads provide critical lateral visibility for enhanced pedestrian awareness and MUTCD IA-21 compliance. These compact RECT-13-based light heads are engineered for side-mount applications, ensuring drivers approaching from angles not covered by the main RRFB units—and pedestrians approaching the crosswalk from the sides—are clearly notified of beacon activation. This additional visibility improves safety for everyone at the intersection by reinforcing the presence of an active crossing signal from multiple vantage points.
Each unit features two built-in intensity modes—standard brightness for daytime and a dimmed mode for night use—improving performance in all lighting conditions. Operating on 12–24VDC with low current draw, the side lights are self-flashing and include a sync wire to pair with a main LEFT/RIGHT RRFB setup for coordinated flash patterns.
Simple to integrate and built for durability, these side-mounted LED pilot lights are a vital addition to any crosswalk or pedestrian safety system seeking full-angle visibility.
