Advanced Optical System Compliance
Each RRFB integrates a UV-treated, optically clear Lexan lens to minimize material degradation and yellowing over time. The Clear Vision Optics™ system delivers superior photometric performance compared to conventional rear-reflector optics, significantly improving pedestrian visibility over extended distances—critical in high-speed, multi-lane, and urban applications.
The optical system is certified to meet SAE J595 Class 1 standards per MUTCD Interim Approval IA-21 guidelines, ensuring compliance with luminous intensity and angularity requirements across all roadway conditions.
Energy-Efficient Power Architecture for OEM Integration
TOMAR RRFBs feature a compact 3” x 7” footprint and operate efficiently across 12VDC to 24VDC power systems. An average current draw of 76mA to 370mA supports low power budgets, making these beacons ideal for solar-powered arrays and hardwired infrastructure alike.
TOMAR RRFBs offer selectable intensity levels to adapt to varying ambient light conditions, with control via a +12-24VDC dimming wire or through Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), ensuring easy integration with lighting control strategies while maintaining MUTCD compliance and preventing glare.
For OEM partners, TOMAR offers pre-pinned wiring to match customer-specified connector models, simplifying harness integration, reducing installation time, and enhancing field serviceability.
Flexible Control Configurations
