At TOMAR, we design products that prioritize safety, reliability, and performance, tailored to your unique signage requirements. Our Rapid Rectangular Flashing Beacon, or RRFB, enhances pedestrian visibility and provides a durable solution for traffic safety.
Built to withstand the toughest conditions, TOMAR RRFBs are part of our Revolution Line, featuring a linear vibration weld seal. This advanced sealing process provides an IP69k+ hermetic seal, offering the highest level of dust and water protection to ensure long-lasting reliability.
To maintain peak optical performance, each RRFB is equipped with a UV-treated, optically clear Lexan lens, reducing yellowing and degradation over time, and features our highly effective Clear Vision Optics™ for higher visibility from longer distances than competitive rear-reflector optics. The compact 3-by-7-inch design is engineered for efficiency, operating on 12 to 24 volts DC with an average current draw of just 0.076 to 0.37 amps.
For adaptability in different environments, our RRFBs offer two selectable intensity levels, allowing operators to set brightness levels for daytime and nighttime operation.
TOMAR’s innovative T-Beam™ collimator takes pedestrian safety a step further. Built-in side indicators confirm to pedestrians that the beacon is functioning, eliminating the need for additional side facing lamps while enhancing visibility at every crosswalk.

Per IA-21, RRFBs are pedestrian-actuated conspicuity enhancements to supplement standard pedestrian and school crossing warning signs at uncontrolled marked crosswalks.
