PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The 970A-PROGCAB Programming Cable is engineered to interface with TOMAR light bars equipped with integrated preemption emitters, such as the 970 Series Scorpion Series, 970 Black Widow Series, and 937 Revolution Series Light bars. This specialized cable utilizes a parallel port connection to program or reprogram the emitter’s internal settings—most importantly, the vehicle code(s) that define its identification and priority during operation.
Once configured, the emitter uses this stored information to modulate its optical signal, allowing traffic control systems along its route to recognize the vehicle and grant right-of-way as needed. The 970A-PROGCAB ensures your TOMAR preemption system is precisely dialed in for reliable field performance.
